An honest D.I.Y. (Do It Yourself) attitude in the world of music is few & far between in the year 2017. We're living in times where a tough work ethic has been replaced by tweets and soundcloud plays. Independent record label Ghost Ramp refuses to subscribe to the laziness of the digital age, but instead flips it to their advantage and uses it to create and inspire where most others get lost and fail. Down in the heart of LA's Chinatown, the Ghost Ramp HQ / retail store is home to some of the most innovative independently released vinyl, in-house designed clothing & accessories, and one of the coolest arcade style gaming machines we've ever laid eyes on. We took a quick trip down to the space to discuss some TOP SECRET developments in the works.

Limited edition Drift Stage vinyl SHAPED AS A CAR! Ghost Ramp has really carved out a niche for themselves releasing original scored video game soundtracks for popular indie games alongside other vastly influential indie artists. Top that off with incredibly creative packaging design and you have a recipe for a very fresh take on the age-old tradition of vinyl production.

Founder of Ghost Ramp, as well as recording & performing artist, Nathan Williams of Wavves was in the building. We were pleased to sit with him and chop it up about upcoming Wavves touring plans and dive deep into one of his biggest passions, professional wrestling.

We were able to get a behind the scenes glimpse into the stock room where all the world wide shipping orders take place. It's refreshing to see an indie label really put 100% effort into their craft.

As vinyl sales shockingly surpassed digital music sales in the United Kingdom just last year, all vinyl connoisseurs in the U.S. like ourselves are hoping our country is next to follow suit.

Speaking with Nathan and his VICIOUS guard dog "Chloe" was one of our favorite opportunities and would prove to be edifying to any creative mind who was granted the same chance. Be sure to check out Wavves on the road with Blink-182 when they come to your city!
